I reckon this is your lot until you get into bootlegs and that... if you have access to something like Spotify or Rhapsody here in the states, you should be able to put this tracklist together with no problems bar the first track. Someone on this list can probably sort you out with it since it looks like losttunes.com isn't coming back and they still haven't put out a new pressing of Callin' All that fixes all the errors (including that tracks omission).

Son Of A Gun (Jeremy Allom Mix from The Lost La's download only from Lost Tunes.com)
I Can' t Sleep (Steve Lillywhite version from the 1st album)
Timeless Melody (Mike Hedges version from the Callin All boxed set)
Liberty Ship (Steve Lillywhite version from the 1st album)
There She Goes (Bob Andrews version from the Japanese singles collection)
Doledrum (John Porter version from the Callin All boxed set)
Feelin' (John Leckie version from the Callin All boxed set)
Way Out (Gavin McKillop produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
I.O.U. (Mike Hedges version from the 1st album bonus tracks)
Come In Come Out (John Leckie produced version from the Callin All boxed set)
Knock Me Down (Gavin MacKillop produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
Freedom Song Live (track 3 from the BBC In Session CD)
Clean Prophet (Mike Hedges version from the Callin All boxed set)
Failure (Steve Lillywhite version from the 1st album)
Calling All (track 11 from the BBC In Session CD)
Over (track 8 from the BBC In Session CD)
Endless (Gavin MacKillop produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
Man I'm Only Human (Bob Andrews produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
Who Knows? (Bob Andrews produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
All By Myself (Jeremy Allom produced version from the Japanese singles collection)
Looking Glass (Steve Lillywhite version from the 1st album)

The Beatles: The Beatles Anthology is 3 double disc sets of alt takes and they had to narrow that down from a list of probably a bazillion.

The Beach Boys: The SMiLE sessions alone are something like 40 reels of 2 inch tape. There's another bunch just for Good Vibrations which is probably what the La's spent on tape for their entire album (all the versions put together) but for a SINGLE SONG. Literally 10 finished versions worth of snippets in different studios with different engineers with every session player in L.A.

Good lord, if you start looking into The Grateful Dead, Neil Young or Frank Zappa you are likely to lose your mind and never listen to more than 20 albums worth of material.

So Lee had a couple of drummers, guitarists and engineers and went to more than one studio. It's not like it's never happened before.

I dropped Who Knows and moved Over to the end as a 'bonus track' to approximate the originally intended 16 track album. I tried to collect my favourite studio versions of the songs - with the exception of Liberty Ship which is a nice nod to the early days of the La's. The demos and various radio sessions / live tracks are something different for me, so I have different compilations of those.

1. Son Of A Gun (Mike Hedges)
2. Freedom Song (Mike Hedges – speeded up slightly!)
3. Clean Prophet (Jeremy Allom – B-side)
4. Come In Come Out (John Leckie – Lost La’s)
5. Way Out (Newer Version)
6. Doledrum (John Leckie – Lost La’s)
7. There She Goes (Single)
8. Feelin’ (Mike Hedges)
9. Timeless Melody (Mike Hedges – Deluxe Edition Version)
10. I.O.U. (Mike Hedges - Deluxe Edition Version)
11. I Can’t Sleep (Mike Hedges)
12. Knock Me Down (Mike Hedges)
13. Liberty Ship (Demo from Way Out single)
14. Callin’ All (BBC Nicky Campbell Session)
15. Failure (Mike Hedges)
16. Looking Glass (LP)
17. Over

Tried to put no Lillywhite track in there, although Freedom Song, Failure and Looking Glass (from the album) would easily get into any La's compilation of mine.

sorry if this has already been posted.

some versions of these songs are just lovely. Timeless melody, doledrum and failures stand out in particular as being vastly better than the final album versions.

Thanks :)

Umm, Youtube tells me it's blocked in the UK. I'm not sure if it is anymore though? Doledrum matches third party content. You don't say!
