John Power + Edward James - The Point, Cardiff, 10/11/06

Postby EdM » Wed Oct 04, 2006 9:05 pm

Hi,

Just a quick post to say that I'll be supporting John Power in the Point in Cardiff on Friday November 10th.

I play blues (in the style of Son House, Blind Willie McTell, Mississippi John Hurt etc) and folk (like Bert Jansch, Davey Graham etc) and it should fit well with the timeless folk and blues sounds running through John's work, especially coming out on the new record as well as Happening For Love.

If you'd like to listen to a couple of my recordings, have a look at:

Enjoy!

Sorry to push this thread to the top but I just wanted to add a quick note to say that if anyone is considering seeing John on his tour but isn't sure which gig to go to, Cardiff and Bristol could be the best venues...

The Cardiff gig is in a huge old church with fantastic acoustics (played there with James Yorkston the other week and the sound was just incredible, shame about all my mistakes!) and the Bristol one is a tiny 120 capacity venue so you can hear John right up close.

I'm shitting myself!
