Timeless Melody lyrics

Postby Yusuke » Tue Oct 20, 2020 2:25 pm

I would like to ask everyone.
I'm Japanese and I can't listen lyrics well,
but I think parts of Timeless Melody Lyrics is different from lyrics website and more.

The last line of 1st verse,
"Brushing the sand of time away",
I can hear it like this "Brushing the sail of time away".

And the last line of 2nd verse,
"I promise I'd send the word away",
I can hear it like this "I promise the tale of word away" or "I promise the tile of word away"

I don't know that the grammer is right,
so I'll thank you for your answering.

I don't think that I have ever read the lyrics, but I have always heard:

"Brushing the sands of time away" and

"I promise I'd send the words away"

I always thought it was "sign of time away" listening to my fav versions

a melody always finds me
whenever the thought reminds me
breakin a chain inside my head

a melody chord unwinds me
a rhythm for life unties me
brushin the sign of time away

if you look in your mind do you know what you will find?
open your mind

even the words they fail me
oh look what it's doin to me
I never say what I want to say

it's only a word, believe me
if only the world could see me
I promise I'd send the words away

if you look with your eyes do you know what you will find?
open your mind

~

a melody always finds me
whenever the thought reminds me
breaking a chain inside my head

a melody chord unwinds me
a rhythm for life unties me
brushin the sign of time away

if you look in your mind do you know what you will find?
open your minds

... on the subject of lyrics I was absolutely fuckin gutted that the lyrics to Doledrum as written by Lee were "I think I'll run away to see"

I'd always thought it was sea... works... nautical pun, deep, the fuckin LOT....

I REALLY LOVE this version Lee and John played on TV because Lee's voice is amazing.
and another version in key A is beautiful too.
That's interesting you thought it "sign of time away".
Thank you for telling me.
