Cheers for bringing this book to our attention.

Undoubtedly the best interview I've ever read with Mavers - the first time I've read an interview with him that completely strips away the bullshit and cuts to the chase - the drugs, his approach to writing, his hatred of modern music and his hope to be a Pele in a team of...well at least Tim Cahills.

I've read the interview three times already. You do sort of sympathise with the man, but clearly his own insanely high standards are what is stopping this all happening.

The Johnny Marr interview also mentions Lee; he is asked if he's written with Mavers.

"Lee and I jammed together for three days... it was fascinating and frustrating because he still wants to make that first La's album."

Looks interesting, how long are these interviews, are they fairly in depth?

Page or two intro to the interview subject, then a few pages of really good questions, plus you're unlikely to read just Lee's. I mean, Jimmy Page!!

Absolutely cracking interview this. Worth the price of the book alone. 3.20 on kindle.

Hats off to the interviewer, great questions, informed, respectful and also quite forthright towards the end.

Fair play to Daniel for getting answers i hadnt heard before. Wicked word play as well on the muse!

The only negative is Lee's reluctance to record unless 5/6 like minded and equally talented and empathetic play with him. Like Pele without a team! Crying shame cos Lee is the best i've seen and heard. Long time waiting for another one let alone 5.
