Is Mavers the most famous Everton supporter (which isn't saying much as he's not exactly a household name)?

I know McCartney sort of claims he is, but he clearly isn't.

The La's could get a few extra royalty cheques this season

It’s Gonna Be Alright (1965)

Furiously thrummed acoustic guitars are again suggestive of the sea, and it’s a sound that looks forward to the La’s and, another decade on, the Coral. The minor chords and simplistic but the positive lyrics (“Now you’re here to stay, you’ll always hear me say it’s gonna be alright”) have a breeze-blown air of troubled innocence.
