the recording doesn't say the two lower strings unfortunately, as long as the Hertz numbers all add up to 9, then its right.

Do you know if Lee was using this tuning at the acoustic gigs?

My tuner wont go low enough either...relying on dodgy online ones, not going well..

Great stuff glad to hear the momentum is stilll going.

Don't suppose you got to ask GM about the story of Peter Beardsley giving him the Bandit nickname? Haha great story that...

I thought Lee came across as quite bitter when he was on about the audience being "brainwashed". Perhaps he was only talking in terms of the sound on stage but I was amazed with what he said about the Liverpool gig!

the brainwashed thing was about the record label like, he wanted out of the contract etc, so he sped it up by being dis-interested

I'll give it another listen in that case, I'm not sure I caught the context of that bit . . .

remember we had been chatting for almost 4 hours at this point, so Lee was referencing back to things we spoke about before I started recording

be sure to look into the Fibonacci music technique, that's one place where it stems from. Usually everything is in concert pitch until someone realised there was a pitch before that, and now Lee's onto it, bringing it back, its the same tuning used by Ancient Greeks, Indian Tribes and Romans etc. over time it just got changed and dogged down.

It could well be his first interview since then. Considering it was meant to be a Gary Bandit interview it stemmed into more!

Tuning is weird, I can't get it to work. I'm not really convinced by the theory . . . But I get some of where he is coming from.

http://www.rev.net/~aloe/music/golden.html might be a useful page for those inclined!

Will give it another go this weekend I suppose.

Hmm, can't be much different in notes though? Seeing as at the London gig he's playing the same chord shapes
