unfortunately it slipped my mind. Seems to be out of their hands at the moment and letting the director/whoever deal with it while they focus on the record, which will be on vinyl.

there were talks of a couple of gigs, nothing concrete. Might just have been a holiday they have planned...record definitely seems to be the focus. The new pitch they are in, perfect. He said it sounds/feels better now, the way it did in '86 before they were signed.

The audio is there, the uncut version, so we babble about in between.. Originally planned as an interview with Gary Bandit, but Lee was happy to answer any questions I thought of on the spot (or answer Gary's questions!).

Me and Lee sat watching their version of the London gig, so I asked Lee why 'Freedom Song' was absent from the set "forgot to play it...along with Over and erm..Who Knows"

Ta will have a nose at this. Interested to see what Lee's tuning method may be!

there's another 20 mins of audio. I probably won't stick that 20mins on the net, bit more deeper that conversation and he talks about the tuning in that one, but I'll write it down and post it here.

Nice one for doing this, I'd love to hear more about Lee's tuning. Did he touch a guitar while you were there?

he had a pulled tendon in his finger on his left hand, so could only manage a few chords, though he managed an amazing version of Son of a Gun and a song I didn't recognise, whether is was a cover I don't know.

Yeah the 2nd album question was awkward, because it was for Gary regarding The Bandits...

roughly from what I remember/can hear on the recording the tuning is as follows for the frequency and when it's right its perfect.

Lee said all of the old tunings in music (before the Nazi's changed the tuning pitches to concert pitch around the world)
all of the Hertz numbers should add up to "9". It's based around Fibonacci techniques. Truly fascinating.

The First String - 'E'
which is measured at 330 Hertz this becomes 333 (I think)

The Second String - 'B'
which is measured at 247 Hertz, this becomes 243

The Third String - 'G'
which is measured at 196 Hertz, this becomes 189 (with a difference of 3, the recording says)

The Forth String - 'D'
which is measured at 147 Hertz, this becomes 144.

The Fifth String
which is measured at 110 Hertz, this becomes 108.

The Sixth String - 'E'
which is measured at 82 Hertz; this becomes 81.

Gary was using an app on his iPhone to measure the Hertz frequency on the guitars. Hope this makes relative sense.
