Its Barry Sutton and Neil Mavers.
I reckon Lee should call the 2nd album 'The Masterpiece', as in "The Masterpiece is done..." and it's cocky as fuck.

If it's true that's great news - more faith in some real progression with ex-La's in the band, finish what was started...

I was with Barry last night, definitely not back in the band. I'd have heard! a good laugh as always!

It's all beginning to be a bit speculation really now. Am sure the triple album will come out with a 42 date UK tour and free web-link to download the Kitchen video and some free Golas3 pressings alongside first 50 people through the door. John and Gary will be playing Ned's Atomic Dustbin style double bass action, with Lee doing a solo Gallagher style unstripped-set in the middle of each show.

Am finding it very frustrating the years spent on this forum and the excitement we all evidently have to come down to part clues and rumours, mis-quotes and assumptions, when in fact all I would need to do is just check my Twitter account for the 'official' news.

Dare I say at the moment the mystique is being lost?

Mystique lost vs. timeless songs? Maybe I see it a little different, a lack of mystique after seeing them 3 times intimately, and meeting pretty much all La's members at one point or another.

I think Scott, the booking agent handles the Twitter/Facebook page, seems inactive though as the NY gig hasn't been confirmed on it.

I really, really wish that any booking agent would use this forum first, much as you would do a newsletter or fan first news before Twitter, at least if and until they assemble a mailing list.

Mystique and timeless songs are two different things to me, as is the band mystique and the songs. The songs to me are personal as they are 'soundtracks' you know? They capture moments. Whereas the band are the mystique, they are the universe and not the planets, they are the consciousness and not the organs, they are the sound and not the transcribed melody. Explain to me electricity or turn on the light-bulb to demonstrate it? Because the demonstration does not explain it, only showing what it is capable of, which is awe as a sensation but still not an understanding of 'electricity'.

I was half hoping that cause I was doing media/journalism at university, they might use me to bridge the gap between the band and the fans on here. I think they know they can trust me, I knew about New York a few weeks in advance and who's auditioning at the moment. And of course it'd be a dream job, which I'd happily do for free.

with the songs getting released, I think they have to come out - they just have to. They are that good, pretty sure I'll never play another record other than that one ever again if it comes out.

I'm still guessing JP on bass with Gary switching to guitar.

That would make most sense...but who on drums? I can't imagine Mavers being happy with anyone drumming bar Jasper (who can't do it) or Neil Mavers...unless it's someone new :? The mystery surrounding this band is unreal haha

Gotta admit I think you're too close to being a fan to being a 'spokesperson'. I appreciate there's a level of trust you have with persons involved, but you also do have to edit more what you share, there's no story if there's too many leaks, you know? Who am I to know beyond these views, you could well have the full trust to speak news. My knowledge of those close to the band is that they have been so shielded in anything over the years, why now, why this way, with only Macey cracking eggs and getting an omelette in the past, I'm cautious. I fail personally to see what you have shared in audio/video and news to be fully consented, but that is 100% only my opinion I add and stress.

Within this communication bridge you invaluably are to The La's (I respect completely anything you divulge to be at your discretion, and I check the forum numerous times a day for La's banter, have done for years), I get an overwhelming sense in frustration of teasing and games with leaks, news and exclusives. The rehearsing/auditioning/hired or whatever stage the line-up currently is at, I don't get why if you know and have shared this, that it has become a guessing game with forum users giving their views, for you to question them, and then share things like it not being ****** or it 'possibly' being ******. I'm guessing it to be fact that a lot of characters on this forum have been privvy to large amounts of information in the past that has failed to materialise and or been asked to not share/or personally chose not to, until the dawn of the event for no want to jinx events, disillusion or let down people and just pretty much respect privacy.

My experience on this forum is this, I speak tat generally with trust that the level of naivety of say FaceBook being trampled on quickly, so take what I say as my opinion, my view, my take on this and in being so is a taste and not a personal thing to you Chris or anyone.

That this forum and it's user-base shifting so frequently from quiet to happening times, with it's current position of posts somewhat sectioned, we'll see what the New Year brings.

fair play man, the band have read what I've posted in interviews, I know Gary's read it cause he saw the thing with Digsy and the early Bee Gees stuff and said to get into it. I'm sure they are happy with what's been posted, I mentioned *something* in my blog and on twitter, which I was asked to remove, and happily did so. Lee even corrected the tuning Hertz number mistakes I made.

The line-up (which is not concrete at all - still auditioning) is a secret I could easily leak, builds more mystique. I've heard from more than one source from both within the band and from outside the band, people who have contacted me since hearing what I know with the same info, so I'm not alone in knowing, it's also more not getting the hopes up of fans and then them having a go at me/the band, or being disappointed if it doesn't materialise, whereas if I'd have said nothing nobody would have been none the wiser.

Whenever I've said anything it's more to "stick up" for the band, a lot of people I've spoken to, on here, privately and out in public or whatever, think Lee's going to disappear now or more 'stripped back' sets, which seemed to have disappointed a few people and that there's a lack of activity. I've had a different look at what I've posted and I'll keep anything else to myself from now on, best for the band and so. All the best la.
