Wow, both days! @ kenny

Tomorrow in Amsterdam, so they must be already here in Holland... exciting!
I wonder if I will manage to see something, standing behind Dutch giants... (me shorter than 160cm)
...that's the light at the end of the tunnel...

It was really great,
so nice to see some smile exchanges between Mani & Ian or Mani & John (yes I was standing by Mani side!),
great songs & great performance, intimate atomosphere...

...until the very last moment.
So pity, without 'I Am The Ressurection' (my favorite!) as encore.
I have no idea what happend, it was quite an unti-climax actually... :(

By the way,
I guess more than 80% of the audience was from England.
Was kind of hard to find Dutch-speaking people...
...that's the light at the end of the tunnel...

I was at the gig in Amsterdam last night and truly thought it was amazing, performance wise way beyond Warrington. Fools Gold is something else! The end was fucking bizarre though, and I somehow doubt it was staged.... he was clearly really pissed off. If it was a technical issue, why take it out on Reni and why would Reni leave the venue pronto like at the Warrington gig? I imagine there'll be some serious backtracking though, as there's several million riding on the upcoming gigs! :D

Yes Dan, how they played was amazing, wasn't it? :D
I didn't notice anything whether there was a tecknical issue (drum kit?).
Just remember the strange silence after the last song 'Love Spreads', rather than feverish craziness exploding. It happend more with 'Fool's Gold' 'This is the One' 'She Bangs the Drums' and 'Made Of Stone'.
I'm trying not to get spoiled the whole experience by little disappointment at the end or some annoying comments from others... The evening itself was purely great.

Nice review to read:

In the article, The La's is also mentioned!
"...The Stone Roses and their contemporaries like the Happy Mondays and The La’s, never made it as big in some European countries or in North America as they did in Britain and Australia, but to those of us who know them, they are the originators of the Britpop wave that produced Blur, Pulp and Oasis."

As much as i love the stone roses, i find Ian brown to be a strange egg.

went to see him a few years ago and he spent the whole concert spitting every fifteen seconds. Sing a line, spit, sing a line etc etc. Very unsightly and I wish i hadnt bothered.

Know a lad who worked closely with him who didnt speak highly of him at all.

He was clearly seen to aim a massive spit at the drums during 'love spreads'. whether it was at reni, who knows, but it would put me off playing the drums watching that all night.
