Now then

I saw the La's on Bank Holiday Monday 1987 at the Hull Adelphi. One of the most amazing gigs I ever saw.

Read all about it here:

Cheers!

To qoute the "curly topped perma-grinning bass player", nice one!

A recording of the gig does exist BTW. Sadly though, only Timeless Melody has seen the light of day. As a download only track from recent reissue of Vipers' Callin' All: http://www.theviperlabel.co.uk/cart/index.php/downloads/a-callina-alla-deluxe-edition-download/p_69.html

Hello Rizla, I'm from Hull, too. I never went to that one - I was a little bit young, but I saw them after that a few times - including the 1995 debacle. Did you ever see Cast there? They were pretty good early on.

Why has only Timeless Melody seen the light of day? How might we find the rest?

'cos the tape simply isn't in circulation. I did email the Adelphi around the time the book mentioned above came out, asking if there was any chance of getting a copy of the full the gig. But they never got back to me.

That sounds like Jacko. He doesn't share things like that very readily in my experience.

I visited the Adelphi site to see if the book was still available, seems out of print now.

I noticed they have a t-shirt with Mavers and Power (seemingly) on it, that's sold out too now..
