What I listened to at age 10, revisiting:-) Pied Piper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYODJsg8_dA Think I'd hate it if I didn't have good memories, so silly.

I hear a few notes a bit like Under My Thumb, Rolling Stones.

Alright. I'm now a fan of the man who seemingly criticized Lee, or rather questioned his/work/views being mystical. Anyone who is an honest maverick, who's life hasn't always been easy, with enormous multi-faceted talent has my attention. Sounds kind of familiar doesn't it. A bit of Bill's personality and versatility on youtube;

Jactars, The Tallest Man. They're on the Revolutionary Spirit collection, Disc 5, 1986-1988. Hi Tony. :)

FolkDen.com
Roger McGuinn (The Byrds) has always collected folk songs. Shares and talks about them here. Listening to one called "Leaving of Liverpool" sea chantey from 1860's.

Re FolkDen.com above. If I'm not mistaken it sounds like Roger is singing all the songs. As much as I like The Byrds music, the local flavors are missing. I do like the melody on Rodger's version Leave Of Liverpool better, but a bit bland. Here, it's sung by The Spinners https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGGAS9l ... e=youtu.be

Just went and saw My Bloody Valentine (opening band Dreamdecay) here in Seattle at the Paramount. They played 3-4 new songs from their upcoming EPs. A cool uptempo one they sounds anthemic, like Kevin has been listening to his Ramones albums again, A slower one with really cool guitar melodies, an acoustic one that sounds like an outtake from Isn't Anything and one that had weird tempo changes at the end that was slower and droning at the beginning, In short, it still sounds like them :)

Great to hear him do something new!

Other than that, listening to more talk radio than music of late. Checked out the new Johnny Marr as well, typically fantastic.
