Loved this band since they released Face In awhile back. This is the quantum leap forward that seemed obvious even then.

Just got on that, great stuff.
Love all your "favourites bands".

Sounds a lot like to Brian Jonestown Massacre to me...

Cheers man! I'm a massive Jonestown fan anyway, Antons up there with Lee & Edgar in my book. Geniuses!

Haven't got the time to trawl back through over 100 pages, but I have just discovered David Crosby's 'Perro Sessions' bootleg. If you like 'If Only I Could Remember My Name..." you'll love it. Some loose jams, but also some great near-complete songs. All recorded not long after the first album.

Have a rummage on line and you'll find it.

The most stunning covers on this collection, to say nothing of the all of the unreleased jems that Chris Sharrock doubtless plays on. Pity I don't have the liners for it. I can't find any info about any of the tracks' creation.

+1

I have been enjoying the new-ish Dodgy album, stand upright in a cool place. Mellow and reflective. If you are a sucker for harmonies it's worth a listen. They were lumped in with Britpop but had a whole lot more depth. The Stairs supported them back in the day.

This had passed me by, how? I dunno! But I am now putting the order in for it, out this week in the UK :) Thinking Play has the cheapest option on it so far, need it physically for all the extra info.

Cheers Da Capo!

You probably know it, but Lotus Plaza is of course a sort of 'offshoot' from the rather superb Deerhunter... prolific is not the word... Bradford (singer/songwriter) gives away reams and reams of demo material via his blog as freebies...

All kinds of the usual psychedelic stuff I tend to go for... especially this big hitter Italian Library record... pricey but has some amazing stuff on it!!

Including this Stooges-esque monster, as sampled by Gonjasufi...

Of course, I've got all the Deerhunter albums (and the 2 Lotus Plaza ones)
Great bands, it reminds me of Galaxie 500 and Brian Jonestown Massacre, both up there with my all-time favourites.
