No drummer on it though coz he'd gone through to boogie in the other room. He seemed to be a massive fan though so i cant believe he's e-bayed it.

That's an awful lot of information for somebody "stood next" to some guy after the gig. :D

i think a fair bit of the cynicism directed at it is the fact the seller is clearly Gavin [surname removed] (confirmed by the fact he's also selling his second love - Jackie Chan DVDs) - a man with $ signs in his eyes... who thinks nothing of flogging the free La's DVDs and boots he gets off here for daft money via his various ebay/trading ID's... Howard Marks??? pah!!!

if i was the winning bidder i'd deffo stick the extra 60p in for recorded delivery, for some reason, gav's postie is a bit dodgy cos stuff keeps going astray???

dont get me wrong, from time to time people need to sell stuff, but when youre getting it signed specifically to flog on, i dont see any admiration for a band there...

what next? the biro pen used, complete with Mavers fingerprints???

That's a nice photo, but I'd rather have the original than that sub-Warhol effort :)

Nah, that kind of thing's not too bad, it seems like the buyer at least made it themselves. Blatantly someone in the audience, same angle throughout, etc, so not sure why they put "master tapes" stuff in, but fair enough, it's theirs to flog (presumably).

Although I wouldn't be too optimistic over the sound quality.

Yeah, quality looks pretty good indeed there, but like Tony says the sound could be shite. Shame its the London gig an all, not really the finest of recent performances!!! Wouldn't mind seeing it though, if anyone has a copy.

La's DVD

Postby Dan » Sun Jul 31, 2005 10:21 pm

Yeah, had this from the filmer for quite a while and its very well shot.... thought people would have have had it already. Its tri-pod shot, with some very nice close-ups. The sound is as good if not better than the audio boots of the recent gigs doing the rounds.

"Blatantly someone in the audience, same angle throughout"

Blatantly? More obviously, seeing as it wasn't professionally filmed by a camera crew. Not sure if this is the filmers eBayer ID, but they always seem to sell his films on DVD-R so if its not him, there must be some connection/agreement.
