eBay seller: lomondblue (http://www.ebay.ie/usr/lomondblue) has a few La's items listed at the moment, including a red TSG 4 track CD for under £20 Sterling, in great condition. Bargain.

Interesting for me, among his listings, I cannot recall seeing CDP 403 in a 'Digipak' before. I always assumed the US 'CDP' promos were sent out sleeveless, just compact discs in minimal packaging.

I've got that US 1tk TSG's promo. For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got it from or how much I paid (can't have been more than a couple of quid).

Hmm, I thought the Crescent tape we have heard was from September.

Two dates in July here.

So, are we looking at something unheard? Or is the extant Crescent type's two sides actually each of these dates / September is wrong?

Wow, this is very intriguing

At the very least we've only heard one of these, right? The copy I have isn't long enough to be two separate tapes. Maybe we could all chip in and buy them, with the agreement that all the contributors get a copy once received/transferred to a PC?

From the bootleg we all know:

Side 1 is 45 minutes, Lee running through the songs
Side 2 is 45 minutes, it's Lee doing a few more songs, with the Crescent actively playing.
They're not necessarily from the same day?

I am wondering what the score is:

It could be that the version we already have is these two seperate sessions (eg they didn't flip each tape during its session)
But they could have recorded a few, in Macey's book the Crescent allude to Lee complying with taping it - changing the tape with a sly wink.

The date we have in Retrospective is September.

But the Crescent interview in Macey's book mentions other tapes!

:?: :?:

I spoke to him last night to clarify a few points. According to him it's two full tapes of them jamming, so 3 hours of content in total. He did say there's lots of them just conversing, but it does sound like there's a full tape we haven't heard.

He also confirmed these two were the only sessions they ever recorded. The process was the same on both too, so I'm not expecting a significant improvement of sound quality on the 'missing' tape. I remember the story from Macey's book, so was hoping that recording of the second tape might be more deliberate. Apparently both were done somewhat secretly, from behind the sofa.

Unfortunately he doesn't want to ship them, so the only option is to buy them off him in person. I live near London, but am currently trying to convince the other half that a trip to Liverpool would be a fun weekend break
