RARE, VINTAGE 1960S EGMOND ACOUSTIC GUITAR (EX-LEE MAVERS/ THE LA'S)

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/RARE-VINTAGE-1960S-EGMOND-ACOUSTIC-GUITAR-EXLEE-MAVERS-THE-LAS-/331063802543

This is a rare, 1960s Egmond guitar, which has great tone and low action. Was professionally setup.

This guitar used to belong to Lee Mavers (The La's) who then passed it to their drummer, who subsequently sold to a local band and eventually found its way to me (I'm a musician friend of someone who's Lee Mavers friend, and who told me the story - if that matters!)

Whether you are interested in having a small piece of Liverpool history, or just fancy playing a cheap but great sounding acoustic guitar, well, maybe this auction is for you!

The Egmond has a thick neck, that still feels great, and you can tell the quality of the wood is better than most newer models, be it Epiphones etc etc, It has a "woodier" sound too.

Great for blues, indie etc.

COLLECTION PREFERRED, BUT WILL SHIP TOO.

The headstock looks like it's in better condition now than in the magazine photo!

Lol, yeah. The Curious Case of the EGMOND Acoustic Guitar.

I bought it, not because of the La's link (interesting nugget of info but not a reason to spend money), but it does seem a genuinely good vintage guitar for £100.

I'll post pics when I pick it up, over the next few weeks... after I wipe off the sixties dust :)

Nice one Tony, hope it sounds good. Delta blues type of sound I would have thought.

Yeah, I sent payment, which was confirmed by Paypal, but he disputes that he received it. I'm asking eBay to look into it.

If anyone wants it, by all means bid, but you should probably wait until I track down what's going on lest the same happen to you.

How can anyone dispute receiving a Paypal payment? If it's showing on eBay as paid and the transaction is on your Paypal account, they've got payment (unless you've paid using a bank account which can take ages to go through). I'd open a case if I were you.

Ebay is persistently ruined by morons these days.
