This is actually snippet from a blog and is about Mavers time with Go! Discs. Not sure where else to put it.

- Andrew Harrison interviews all of Madness to mark their 30 years in the music business. “When Madness stuttered to an end, Carl (aka Chas Smash) took an A&R job at Go! Discs, trying to control cosmic scousers The Las’s. “It was insane, I was literally paying 40 parking tickets a week. My job was to keep Lee Mavers in check and telling Paul Weller to stop doing those stupid videos.”

I saw it there a long time ago and I believe it's in Paul Hemmings collection. It said something about the fact that Mavers liked access to the high frets.

It's a copy of a danelectro .... made by HONDO ... this is solid wood as opposed to the original which was Masonite top/back and hollow throughout

https://plainorpan.com/2017/11/11/sole-music/ A lessened online fan presence or little news about fans or the La's doesn't mean there are less fans. They walk among us down the street, site next to us in a café and are all over the world. A couple months ago on Spotify which lists cities with the most La's listeners #4 was Mexico City, #5 Santiago, Chile. Surprising? Is it? Most fans remain La's fans in their hearts and I see a new generation of young ones popping up all over social media. I think there are people like me, in their 60s who when discover the La's, if very late, are instant fans. I know good music. I post something about the La's on social media and get so many responses. New fans are thrilled when they find others who share the passion. A La's discussion happened on a Chicago Fire "soccer" fan page, you never know.

"How did the La's album come to your attention?" "Divine Intervention Son," Damon McMahon of Amen Dunes swooned.

Not really a media article but keeping good articles in one thread makes sense.

Lee was 56 yesterday.

His birthday made it into the Metro 'On This Day' article

Interesting, but I'd rather watch a sitcom called I Can't Sleep... :D
