Lee's Guitar Tuning

Lee was nice enough to share his tuning method with us, via his manager Scott. On your tuner, you need to set the A4 calibration to 432hz (the standard is 440hz).

There are plenty of apps besides Cleartune that do this; even some "hardware" tuners let you change the A4 calibration. Shop around....

Hi Tony,

Lee asked me to let you all know the tuning references...

E = 81hz
A = 108hz
D = 144hz
G = 192hz (in the sequence should be 189 but needs to be upped 3hz to fall into tune.)
B = 243hz
E = 324hz

The iPhone app we have been using is called cleartune.

You change the A4 calibration in the settings from 440hz to 432hz and away you go.

I got myself a snark clip on tuner, this lets you change the frequency so you can get the 432 tuning, I think these tuners are spot on. Got my dad and brother in law one. Since I got onto 432 tuning, I always have an acoustic tuned to this, La's stuff sounds spot on using it, so does everything else. Just gives it a different vibe but I like lowered tunings anyway but this is between 1/2 step tuning and 440 so I think it's just right.
