Depends on the recording. That tab is right, play it in A, album version is half a step down or something

Eb is a tuning, not a key, it means the guitar is tuned half a step down - Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

A is the key you are playing "in", the chord shape in that tab would be correct, so basically you're playing the tab on a guitar tuned half a step down, and it would sound correct (compared to the album version which I think is half a step down)

Of course tuning your guitar down means A isn't technically A any more but meh . . !

All it means is what tuning your stings are.
For example if your playing in the of e then your stings are tuned t EADGBE.
You can find all deffrent tuning on the net. :)

Sorry fellas. My above post is a load of rubbish.
Can anybody tell me what the tuning is for looking glass.
When playing in the key of A does it mean the famliy of cords it played in?

Yes. Pick the A shape as in the tab.

key = A

tuning = Eb (half step down)

Ah I get the Eb part now :) though I have feeling the A key part probably needs some more investigating on my own part to fully understand when someone says play it in A. Thanks :D I'll just bug you on PM next time Tony but another thing if you actually reply :wink:

Does anyone have working link to the tab? I found the rest of the songs from the album here: [ http://www.oocities.org/mavers81/ ], but the link for Looking Glass isn't working. Would be nice having the complete collection :)

Code: Select all
Note: Capo on 1st fret. I've tried to show the verse chord progression to
help anybody transposing.

The rest of the song is pretty much repetion with the
obvious speeding rhythm of the chorus section towards the end.
