Hi,

As requested by brown eyes

Liberty Ship

Play the following chords without the high 'E' string.

Begin each verse phrase by playing a G note (on the low E string at the 3rd fret) as a lead in to the A chord.

First it's D to C ("cha-cha chung") at the end of the phrase then D to A as you'll see below.

G (note)
A________G_G(then pluck open G string twice)

D_D_______C______________________________________________
(See further down for the fingering of the above chords)

G note
A________G_G(then pluck open G string twice)

D_D_______A______________________________________________

Repeat as needed.

Then the other bit is "And this I gave for all mankind" is:-

_____C___________Em_______
"And This I gave for all mankind"

(You can bring the high 'E' string into play for these two chords)

Then back to verse bit for "Sail away on an ocean wave".

Tips:-
All chords are usual fingering except no high E string in most cases but the 'D'chord to 'C'chord bit at the end of each line in the verses is a bit like this

----D---D-----------C-----

e__X__X________X___
b__3__3________3____
g__2__2________0____
d__0__0________2*____(*or mute,it's up to you)
a__x__x________3____
e__x__x________x____

[BTW-If you play the above two chords but bring the high E string into play, leaving it unfretted you will find you also have the verse of Son Of A Gun-Give it a go-Throw in an occasional 'G' chord and that's pretty much Son Of A Gun dusted too!]

Anyway hope this helps. Will put tab for solo up another time.

Good Luck,
Paul

I'm happy to put up how I play these songs and I'm pleased you comment they are accurate.

I've just been looking thru' them and there's a few mistakes (pluck the open D srting on Liberty Ship I think)

Will do more when I can manage.

Cheers,
Paul
