Neil83 wrote:Just goin' back to the subject. There's probably quite a few TV appearences that haven't been seen. Eric Clapton mentioned being impressed with an acoustic version of TSG with just Lee and John he saw on the telly.

"The only thing I’ve really liked is a guy called Lee Mavers, who sings with the La’s. He’s got a stance and a style that I think is tremendous. I saw them do a thing on TV with him and an acoustic guitar and the bass player with an acoustic bass, and they did that song “There She Goes,” and it was so strong."

And there's this entry on the British Library website for a program no one seems to remember.

Maybe the one Clapton's referring to? Who knows? Bound to be others too.

I think this might of been a show called '01-For London' or 'Zero One',15/11/1990? http://tvlistings.thetvroomplus.com/listing-1094.html

Yep, certainly looks that way. All the right subject matters. Sounds like it'd be a boss clip that.

No, this list's more for dedicated TV appearances rather than regular gigs that happen to have been filmed. That info's more suited to the Gigography I feel. Same thing applies to Manchester Academy '91, Glastonbury, Summer Sonic, T In The Park, '05 etc...

The YT-poster says it's from a show called Beat UK. Does that ring any bells for anyone?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section Syl, Tony but on 4OD the other day I found There She Goes on the Best Of The Word (Series 4, Episode 7 - 8:16 in) Great to see it in broadcast quality rather than the YouTube one(s).
