Nice work neil83, love the formatting. It's a sticky.

Just a small point, GOLAS 312 & GOLAS 3 are widely available on the board among members, do you want to mention that like you did with other items?

[u] causes an underline command if using ezCodes. Sorry, I substituted it for [BT], meaning Bootleg.

I thought I'd use the Bold ezCode so that browsers can pick information out a bit better.

Syl, thanks for the help editing it. I was really struggling with it.
Yeah, I might add stuff to it later on and maybe do lists of home recordings, radio sessions and t.v appearences aswell, if I get the time to do 'em.
Looks good, must have taken you ages!

A few notes, you don't seem to have Don't Need You Anymore and It's Not Impossible (or Robin Hood), along with some others down, have look at this thread:

p209.ezboard.com/fthelasf...21&stop=40

One one bootleg I have of the Echo / Pete Defreitas sessions, the date is 17th April '87, but take that with a grain of salt.

I also think it's a bit odd you have two seperate entries for John Leckie, but two years apart, but then I didn't catch what Phil Jupitus said on his show. I do think you're right though - I could have sworn I saw an article that implies Leckie was the first producer to get shown There She Goes as a "new one" or something along those lines, which would make it 1987 or early 1988. It might be in the Q article I've linked further down actually...

If you want to be completist, there's a few sessions you've not got (John Porter at Matrix Studios for example) but then again, there were no specific tracks for that - unless you want to work with the idea that they tried to put everything down, which seems to be what they usually did.

On that note, in Macey's book, I think Boo says they were trying to put "the whole album down" in Woodcray. Worth checking that out though.

Might be worth checking out this article too, it's got a few references to misc. people: www.geocities.com/the_las/laQcorr.html

Completely forgot about this one. Thanks for the reminder.

This is really great! Is there any chance of a printable html version for La'zarus...?

I'm not being smart, but try to copy and past into Wordpad or something similar. If you're a Linux or Mac O/S user, I'm not sure what is similar in their situations. The formatting isn't too severe, shouldn't cause problems.

these are amazing, guys. this is exactly the sort of thing I have been looking for for quite awhile! I actually tried to put one together myself once... not even close to as detailed as this one. And, I'm just curious, where did you get all the info about the Home Recordings?

I scored a pack of home/porta demos from Tgarvey (there are 23 tracks) awhile back. I don't know anything about them or how they relate to the sessionography presented above. If anyone has any info on specific tracks, let me know.

Atsab:

1, 2 - Arena studio, May 1986
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 Attic studio, September 1986
13, 14, 15, 16, 17 Mick Moss Picket demos. One's that got them signed, according to Record Collector.
18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 Porta-studio, Aigburth, October '86

11 - Over is not a demo. It's the original and only version, unedited version of the one we all know and have, but a few seconds longer, not cleaned up. It's in the wrong folder!

The tags are fucked thanks to iTunes. Home and Demo etc. are on the wrong files, so ignore them - they're Attic. Go by the list above.

the only info contained in the files were the track numbers (for, I assume, whatever CD they were on when they went to the computer). The track list goes as follows:

1. Son of a Gun (86)
2. Freedom Song (1986)
3. Callin' All (demo)
4. Doledrum (Mavers)
5. Son of a Gun ("callin' all session")
6. Doledrum
7. Liberty Ship (home)
8. Freedom Song (home)
9. Callin' All (home)
10. Lookin' Glass (home)
11. Over (original)
12. I.O.U. (demo)
13. Way Out (demo)
14. Doledrum (demo, again)
15. Come in Come Out
16. Callin' All (demo)
17. Liberty Ship (demo)
18. Son of a Gun (porta)
19. Doledrum (porta)
20. Liberty Ship (porta)
21. Freedom Song (porta)
22. Callin' All (porta)
23. Lookin' Glass (porta)

just trying to make sense of it all...

I think we got it figured out:
1, 2 - Arena studio, May 1986
3-9, 12 - Attic studio, September 1986
13-17 - Picket, April 1987 (the Moss tapes)
10, 18-23 Porta-studio, Aigburth, October 1986

just in case anyone else got the same files and is as anal as I am about chronology, etc.

great work, just what i was looking for! but where does the GOLAS 4 Clean Prophet come from?

EDIT: Looking at my 12" i see it's produced by Jeremy Allom and The La's - so are the GOLAS 3 and GOLAS 4 Clean Prophets both from the Pink Museum sessions? Either way there's only one official one mentioned - might one to add that All By Myself got a proper release on GOLAS 5 too.
