Just got back from Brizzle - top gig, cracking night out !!! Band sound fucking tight as fuck and the album is much better live. Dragged my mate along who used to rip me on a daily basis at school for liking Cast  He was loving it though (he was pretty hammered to be honest...)

Went to the Sheffield gig, i'd only heard a couple of things off the album and wasn't expecting much but it made much more sense live. I could see the 3 of them going down well in the back room of a real ale boozer, thats a compliment btw.

Sheffield gig was crackin'. Good sound, good atmosphere, quite intimate. John chatted after the gig, signed stuff and smiled at cameras etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself (tho had a headache the next day!)

He's playing the Spitz festival of folk tomorrow night (Thursday). Look out for the support act, The See, made up of ex- Soledad Bros and Eighteenth Day Of May. Deffo ones to watch if you like it 60s, jangly and psychedelic.
