One of the lads we went with fell asleep in that sun, blistered quite badly. Wasnt big or clever. Remember to take sunblock kids and a big hat.
He looked like this <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">
No La's

They've announced all the bands playing the main stages and there's no La's:
Hmmm

I'm not sure that is the full lineup playing the main stages - Babyshambles apparently have confirmed that they will be playing, yet they are not listed on the nme site, and this is the same for a couple of others too.

We can still hold out some hope, but I'm not holding my breath to be honest....

How come they put stuff on the site about them but never anything in the mag? to busy writing about some shit band like towers of london <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Good to see another thing announced

What's the obsession with them getting into the mag anyway? I'm sure the website gets a lot more readers than their toilet paper edition.

Ally - NME

The only thing I'm bothered about, as I'm sure most others are, is actually hearing from the band themselves, if only to read for a good laugh...interviews with the band are always entertaining!

I reckon The La's will really put Ian Brown to shame - his live show is appalling and his last 2 albums have been crap. Hopefully the NME will be able to get an interview with Lee & John... maybe theyre holding back to get an interview.
nah i saw him last month and thought he was pretty good. i'd never seen him before, but i was genuinly surprised. i thought his solo stuff was better than the roses stuff he did actually. mind you, i prefer the la's much much more!
mavers vs brown?

in an NME interview at the time (late 80s) as well, Lee famously called Brown and co ''the stoned posers'' didnt he??? I wonder if he and Brown get on at all?? considering they're both cited as making potential best indie debut albums ever etc. they're both pretty outspoken at times

i liked Browns singles by and large, 'FEAR', 'Dolphins...', 'Corpses' etc. really good, but his albums are very patchy, his latest sounds like he's on auto pilot, basically thrown in his usual Aziz Ibrahim middle eastern melodies, some drum samples, and the lyrics are just too cliche... ''the sands of time in my eyes, shine on baby'' and all that...
